so is schneider not a good company to start with? they seem to have many positive threads on this site. i just need a job to get started trucking,i wonder if they're so bad? i mean, there are other companies who sound alot worse

You never know they could be legit. They could of just got a big account with a company and need drivers. Just don't expect the sign on bonus up front. Also most companies don't give sign on bonuses to rookies, but some will pay off your schooling. Trucking isn't all that bad once you get use to all the bending over you have to do. You get use to it after awhile, and the better driver you are. The less bending over you will have to do. Just know most trucking companies are ran by crooks. So always cover your tail. Give them a call and let us know how it goes.

Once you divide the bonus over a 2 year period, you'll find there's better companies with better mileage pay that outstrips the 'bonus'. They're basically a carrot in front of the horse for the uninformed. Just saying.

Well there's some hope for a few. Just knowing what you're getting into is half the battle. But whatever you do checkout all the other companies you can. That includes the ones that do not have ads everywhere you look. You get out as much as you put in. Those big low paying jobs are depending on you to take the easy way and sign up.
