They had one of those on Mopac aka Loop 1 in austin. it wasnt
a loop, just a north south road on the west side. For years, nay, decades, people had misjudged that hairpin exit ramp and ended up in these peoples back yard. They had quit fixing the fence along time ago. well about 6 or 8 years ago someone managed to kill themselves on that exit ramp. THEN they went out there and installed a longer Armco barrier. Problem solved -
