Johnnie come lately.. I was privilege'd to see Good Gulf Regular go from 29.9 to 31.9 at the junction of US82 and US45A one nite in 1957.
Bunch of us drunks were returning to Columbus and had a heated discussion on did we have enough to get there. Was decided by the driver to add a little.
One rep fell out; grabbed the hose; wound the little crank (we did it then to reset) paused, hung it up, got back in and announced he was not gonna pay that.
Risk takers we were; in agreement, and coasted into the first pump at the next junction, 29.9...( How you cat around working for .05 per mile. Budget...)

Dare you to pot it with good soil and plant roses in it. Just the phrase "Comin up Roses" seemed fitting...

Ok I'm caught up. Gotta go to the Hannibal tomorrow for doc appt. Then see if I can find some new boots. I've got a pair that will get me by but they're low tops. Farm and Home has a pretty good selection.
