Two days of working at my 96 year old grandmother’s house. Doesn’t seem like I have made a dent in the storm clean up. On the bright side she has a fortune in white oak on the ground a little red oak and some monster poplar.

    Not a bad likeness, really.
We in the South call that: "Surviving another close scrape."

I just heard they were not taking white oak for whiskey barrels at the moment. Might be different in your area. Idk exactly where that yard is at, somewhere in north ga/southern nc.

Northern SC. I’ll sell them at the local sawmill. He said he’s full on poplar but will take all the white oak I got. I may just sit on it for 6 months and let him go through the supply he’s got now then sell it. Idk, but either way I gotta get it cleaned up.

Need to set a little "groundhog" Corinth sawmill in the clear space and start a lumber yard. Be close to the market...
