What brand ? , old style seat that screw in out ? 3 handle tub /shower ? need some info or photo . Push button delta style ? Should be easy to change unless recessed into wall and has handle extensions

 

if it's an actual seat you'll need a seat wrench . If the seat is deformed or has a chip in it that the stem washer cant fit flush and allows water to bypass diverter. Idk if im helping lol
