That's called the gear housing. Getting out for $2K is a bargain. It's about $4500 to $5K at a shop. Mine's not long for the world either.

And there was no show tonight... it was cancelled... I heard folks saying that the city didn't pay.... the show was going to be sponsored by the city of Cabo Frio.... but the government has no money.... :biggrin_1square1:
There were many tents selling booze and food...

The famous "churrasquinho no espeto".... it's several kinds of meat on a stick and grilled like barbecue...

There were many people, the stage was set but the show was cancelled...:angry2:

There were no apologies... no nothing... There are many stands with tables and seats in that area selling more drinks and food.... some play music, DJs and folks playing guitar.... so.. people just hang around and still had some good time.. But it was cold and very windy...
I met my friends, we walked around, had some juice and popcorn.... and then I came back to hotel...
There's soccer game on TV going on between 2 very big teams.. and lots of people are gathered everywhere at bars and wherever there's a TV... I can hear them screaming out there on the street...

Yeah, its at a shop in my hometown, Only $95/hour sometimes he gives a break on that, just depends on how many wrench slips, or smashed fingers..
I wasn’t about to touch that job, but
I could give wonderful moral support.

Snowed today again. Asphalt froze to by box even though it’s heated. Spent 20 minutes hitting it with a pick axe like a coal miner.

I’m ready to wrap this season up....

On the plus side I did a lot of peter donuts today in the parking lot.

Holly #### what a day!!! I think I jinxed myself by telling @otterinthewater I'd rather workbin a truck in the rain over a icy snow covered lot.

Got a very thorough level 3 inspection at the Nebraska City, NE scale... She went through that ELD for like 20 mins, plus all the time for the other paperwork. But no violations, so I cant complain there. And she was very nice.

Then a while later I started hearing air hiss through my air valves... But it was hit and miss, so I couldnt find the source of the leak. A few hours later it became constant, and got much worse VERY RAPIDLY. I took the very next exit and pulled into the West bound scales in North Platte, thankfully they were closed. I quickly found the source of the leak... The Emergency side of a brake can on the truck was puking air... And it was dumping enough air that another brake was dragging... Yeah it was hot... And smoking.

So I dropped my trailer and broke out the tools and grabbed the spare brake can that I carry. And went to work.

    Bad can removed

Can on left... BAD, VERY BAD
Can on right... BRAND NEW, VERY GOOD

Total time from stopping to back on the road... 1 hour 15 mins. Savings for the company... Several hundred dollars in road side service and labor. ... Unfortunately, I was 10 mins to slow on the repair so I couldnt get as far as I had wanted to for the day.

Now I reak of brake smoke, grease, and dirt... I'm currently waiting for my shower.
