Crossed Vail, Colorado today. They had some fairly heavy snowfall. It was even sticking to the road a bit. But by the time I got to Grand Junction, the skies were clear.
Come on out Dave the weather is fine....... I'm getting ready to roll out and run the gravel/dirt section of 212.
I find this thread funny. Fact. Milk trucks almost never shut down, unless we have actual travel bans my truck is running. Heavy snow, ice, hills yet I get flack here sometimes. My Werner trainer was a chicken who would shut down for 2" of snow. He would never make it on my milk truck. He had no idea how to chain up. I have had farmers drag my truck up the farm service road with a large tractor. No question driving milk truck DOES give you extensive bad weather experience. The thing is the cows produce milk regardless of the weather and the farmers have limited storage capacity.
Farmers are always great to work for. Same thing in trash. Only they don’t have any tractor to bail you out. They’re real good with their mouths though.
