Kinda puzzling, lumber mill exploded. What explodes at a sawmill? May have been an old steam driven or some pressure treating?
    Would have thought fire tho...

Prolly some homeless heating soup at Amarillo....

I know this isn't impressive, just putting it here for comparison to a 325-mile, 14-hour day with Wallmark. Includes a trip into and out of northern Denver metro, plus an hour nap in beautiful Sinclair, Wyoming.

Sinclair is of course named after the Sinclair Oil Company, which was named for Harry F. Sinclair. He was accused of bribing the Interior Secretary to get a cheap oil lease at Teapot Dome, Wyoming. Mistrial declared when the government lawyers found out Sinclair had private detectives following the jurors. Jailed for six months for contempt of Congress (which frankly I find to be charming). The other oil baron from California suspected of being involved was never charged. The Interior Secretary went to jail for a year, first Cabinet Secretary to be jailed.

The whole Teapot Dome scandal seems about as serious as a panty raid on the girls' dorm compared to the stuff going on now. And no one goes to jail anymore. In retrospect, a hundred years of decline is a little depressing.

It happens more often than you would expect. All that fine sawdust hanging in the air makes a perfect air fuel mix. Add in some sticky pine resin attached to the particles.
I understand big flour mills have similar issues.
Just one spark off of an electric motor when the conditions are right, boom

The dust can if not being properly evacuated, just like grain dust.

There's reason for no smoking signs around them.
