So you're a company driver? You're not doing a lease purchase?

I am a contracter with the company and paying off the truck. Until i have paid it off and the title is in my name then it is still their truck

If you pay $ for that truck, even if you dont wholly own it currently, its your truck.

but its not, it clearly states that in my contract. and also states any unapproved modifications to the truck or trailer will result contract termination .

So lets say for example, if it takes 30mo (whatever the # may be) to pay off the truck, and at month 29 they decide to terminate your contract, you're just out all that $ you paid towards buying that truck?

    FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

Yes ,i didnt do this job for the truck . i wanted to learn the business . the contract also states they reserve the right to ever give me the title. It is under their discretion what they do when payments are made . dont care about the truck to be honest. Just wanted to see the numbers for myself first hand to see what my future in this business is gonna be before i take the next step to buy my own. Even if i do pay off the truck and get the title i will sell it the next day. Dont need an emissions truck with probably close to 600k on it at that point it is a ticking time bomb

InTooDeep, Rocks, dwells40 and 2 others Thank this.
