Personally, if your going to get one? Get one that has a enclosed cab. Those days in winter when its 20 below are not fun if you have to sit there with the wind howling thru. Even having these side curtains is a blessing

Well here's hoping I'm done with chaining for the year (knocks on wood). These are the #### tickets CalTrans gives you at the truck check area. The first row is no chains the rest are chains required. Some of the bottom ones are doubled because they don't always give them to you at Truckee. Total 21 times chaining up going over Donner, probably needed them 10 times grrrr lol
D.Tibbitt, Dave_in_AZ and Lepton1 Thank this. -
Remember the famous words of a terminal manager I had.
“Chains work wonders.” ...
Dave_in_AZ and Lepton1 Thank this. -
Whats the point of the tickets???Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
Before you get to the chain up area you have to go through a check point. If you don't have max chains on your truck they turn you around. Don't know why they hand out these cards just another way Calif. pisses away money.
D.Tibbitt, MidWest_MacDaddy and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
