Well.
After 40 minutes, Western Express finally got parked, he tried beside me, I even got out and told him by signal, when to turn the wheels.
He got mad because he wouldnt do what was told, drove to another spot, got it started to go in, the stretched the trailer out to end on slider.
Then got in there after I had to yell to “Stop!” before he backed through a bobtail.

So, 20 more minutes, he’s parked.
Then goes to telling me it was all Western Express fault, they sent him here to Montgomery.

So, now he wants to change carriers, only making .27/mile on a sliding scale..short runs pay up to .30/mile

Wow.. I thought I paid myself cheap at $140/Day that I work.

 

Yep.. per day that I work..
Usually 5 days week/ $700/week

 

I figured a long time ago, PYF(pay yourself first)
If you had someone else, you’d pay them, I’ve done percentage, mileage, salary and the truck got guarenteed $2500 week before when leased to anothed company until the drivers screwed that by not wanting to work, and still collect, so they canceled that after 3.5 years.
But my wage usually averaged about the same.
That way it keeps business and me seperate, and I pay my state/federal every month, though it works out they get 1 check out of every 4.

 

Always been one of my favorite setups on the road. B train conestogas. Classic.
