Air quality in the late 60’s to 70’s and early 80’s for both the greater SF Bay Area and the LA basin was terrible.

Central Valley gets real bad even now. Combination of sources, some blown in from SoCal and northern bay, added to the farm operations dust and chemicals.
Gets thick and grey. Takes me three days at least to recover from a trip there.

Was reading a news story about people moving around the country for various reasons. Thought it was interesting that Cali was In stasis, every one that comes in, an equal number go out. So no gain or loss in net migration at the state level. The other thing it pointed out was the instate migrating. Some high cost areas are seeing population losses, and with it some employment. Partly due to corporation relocating to the lower cost area.
The irony in this is the cycle that will just repeat itself.

 

Don't know about her personal Carbon emissions, But like any Politician you could cap her like a geyser for more green energy......
