I have been Mondayed. Left the house to deliver in SA. No real rush. Get a preplan notice as Im fixin to leave, pick up in Elgin, Tx and go to Midland. Easy peasy right? Well I thought I'd be slick and take some 2 lanes to get east of Austin.

Im currently stuck on Hwy 21 3/4 of a mi past the Pilot because of either a wreck or road work.

Well at 505, your #5 driver could be rumning at a high rate of fuel consumption.
Plus pull and maybe be the fastest truck in your fleet.
Setting it at 365 hp, 62.3 mph you wont have that problem, and maybe only driven by a little old man or woman and only on Sundays.

    Rideandrepair and WesternPlains Thank this.

Huh? Here lemme explain the big words for you - 296.2 MM3 per stroke means 300 cubic millimeters per stroke. That's at the advertised HP of 505. So yea, when it's floored, it's flowing some diesel.
