This is what some have said is the problem.
Flatbed types seem to have questionable mental health status. Some people think we’re crazy, we just don’t see the problem.

Thats not a lot of toll road cost. Are you sure the OM is not skimming toll money?

The OM has booked me on like 16 stop load all around Chicago, and never paid a dime for tolls.

Is that like the $65.00 in shop supplies you get charged at a shop for the grease rag and paper towels the mechanic wipes his hands on???

    Postage, printer ink, etc.

Now that I have the 3 places uncluttered where I pile or pigeon hole all my receipts, I save everything, I mean everything, I have enough pens for everyone.

    Who needs a pen?

Snowing in Huntington, WV currently... My bunk is screaming my name, but I have to deadhead 6.9 miles for a reload after they finish unloading me. Then I will be singing the Flying J song all the way to the TS.

What’s fun if you have fairings, fall and land in a U position between frame and fairings, hitting some boards that were tied down there, break a couple of ribs, and hit the back if your head on the headache rack.
Then you truly understand the meaning.

A few minutes later, you get enough senses to pull yourself out of this posture, to a saftey guy yelling that you need to hurry and finish tarping, he wants to go home to his family, so after you throw a fit, your bar, and hardhat, that you had to go retrieve already, at that idiot, you get to hobble over and get it picked up again.
Then in much pain, finish slowly.

Then around 6-7 months later, you go half blind in one eye suddenly, from halfway, your vision is blacked out like the widescreen movies.
Your retina seperates, eye doctor says due to severe head trama, he had never seen.
So after lasering the eye, severe pain, a weekend unable to lie down, sleeping upright in a recliner, it didnt “weld”
So they take your eye out, while you’re awake, totally weird.., and fix it and put it back in!

Welcome to the world of trucking!
