Had to run some errands in Copacabana in the city o Rio today... it was a beautiful sunny warm day.... Not many city buses running almost empty... All businesses closed except pharmacies, drug stores, supermarkets, a few snack bars and some banks keeping lines of people outside...
Copacabana beach was empty... quite a "historical" view...

There were a couple of "gringos" strolling... and some people jogging, riding their bycicles and working out on the bars...

 

No.... I don't know how many now... no TV here... last time I heard last week there were a few hundred... most in Sao Paulo, then Rio.... but less than 10 deaths...

 

I heard about the situation in the USA.... FL, CA, MA, NY, IL all closed borders now...?

 

Government here is unable to do anything other than shutting down state borders, even city borders, demand all business to shut down, tell people to stay at home and I heard police will be enforcing that.... I saw a lot of police on the streets today...
Hospitals are not prepared, don't have enough equipment, enough beds....
I heard people must stay at home for 2 weeks... for now... who knows what will be next.
And I wonder.... if the virus hits the slums in Rio....

 

No, you can drive through the states. But they are doing the stay home orders. Only got work if essential. Flat bed is softer week over week. I don't theink FL is shut down, Louisiana is going to get hit hard.
