I moderate a barter page on FB. You should see the idjuts that are out there. They are freaking out that some one is having a estate liquidation. Saying the gentleman should be locked up for suggesting that anyone should be allowed to step out of their house. Sigh. I contacted the member and apologised for pulling their ad for causing drama. They laughed and said np.

*Gotta love jokes from almost 40 year old tv shows...ha!
Sirscrapntruckalot - I bet there are a lot of people that don't know about Readers Digest, or a TV Guide. Or the ones that actually use to come in a newspaper every Sunday..RidgeRunner731, 650cat425, LoSt_AgAiN and 5 others Thank this. -
We had a source of readers digest dating to about 1938 or so to 1946 No advertising much in those ones. Alot of wartime writing though as if the Enemy is going to invade and come down main street at any time. (Never mind having to cross a whole ocean to do it...) The articles also indicate a style of thinking that it was a total war, every man and woman and some children were mobilized. The deaf were assigned work in loud industries that caused normal workers to break mentally in weeks due to the noise pressure, the blind were given parachute work etc. (Tactile sensitivity etc)
Once advertising was allowed to pollute the 1947 and later versions of readers digest there was no point as every article had at least two or three fliers for various personal hygene products which sometimes was in conflict with the subject matter when you turned the pages.Sirscrapntruckalot, Dave_in_AZ and WesternPlains Thank this. -
Well I had a banner day today...
Started in Sidney, NE... Stopped for fuel and 30 in Evanston, WY... Dropped loaded trailer in Ogden, UT... Picked up MT in Tremonton, UT... Currently at the yard in Idahofalls, ID, finishing my paperwork to turn it in so I can get paid before the new month arrives. Then I will crash in the bunk until dawn before going home.Rocks, austinmike, Sirscrapntruckalot and 9 others Thank this. -

I actually talked, on the phone, to a survivor of this so called super flu.
Older guy who is runs a 2500-3000 acre farm.
Only place he ever goes is to church, rest of time around known associates, and a month or so ago that’s where he got his, someone brought it to worship.
He has actually beat his and he is in his mid to late 60s.
took a bit, but I found the ‘clean version’ so I wouldn’t hurt anyone’s feelings. -
I'm trying to commit to staying home for a few days, just cause we finished the master trip, and we've been out awhile.
Didn't make it to shop yesterday, got a long way caught up on paperwork.
Got an appointment at shop 0800 this morning though.
BUT
These, these, these...………….DUDES keep calling with these loads.Rocks, Rcranch81, Deere hunter and 6 others Thank this. -
