Well I had the APU serviced and the new high pressure hose blew apart 5 days into the trip.
I had the truck AC serviced about 2 months ago, and it died about 8 days into the trip.
The $24 can of refrigerant and gauge showed green.
Instructions said in this case consult mechanic. Very useful really.

It seems you may have been chosen to lead the drivers from the oppressive mega-carriers to the land of milk and honey as an owner-operator!Cattleman84, D.Tibbitt, lovesthedrive and 6 others Thank this.

Ok.
I am officially tired of climbing in and out of the truck.
Did 6 loads today.
So that’s at least 60 climbs in and out.
The tarp rope came undone on first roll cause someone couldn’t tie a decent knot.
I fixed that.
First load was 100 miles, then DH’d 20 miles to “Transfer Grain” 20 miles to the barge, 5 of those at $80/each to the truck.
I miss riding and guiding 600+ miles already.
I seen something in the sky though..
I couldn’t tell but it looked like a dog sitting..watching.Wasted Thyme, Dave_in_AZ, Cattleman84 and 12 others Thank this. -

If it makes you feel better, that's my day... most everyday... for 10 years now. Oh, in pittsburgh, with traffic, plus the temperature fluctuations in US Steel. Sucks, huh?Vic Firth, Dale thompson, D.Tibbitt and 7 others Thank this.

And they over loaded me on the last run.. 77200-79880 all day, last load 89500. Gotta go take some off & then play the take some off the back, and half of what came off the trailer, comes off the drives.
3 trips around the building, 6 times in and out the truck.
No traffic, but I’ve driven smoother gravel roads.Dale thompson, D.Tibbitt, lovesthedrive and 6 others Thank this. -

That's perfect. I always loved playing that game when I pulled a bucket. Now I just pray the scale gets my lightweight right and that all the coils are correctly weighed and tagged.... an equally big pain in the posterior otherwise.Dale thompson, D.Tibbitt, Snailexpress and 5 others Thank this.
