Thankfully they were not trying to come down a hill with that brake non functional.

 

This is just a scam. No outside containers, must use cups provided by store. Then use all the handles, condiments and other related items that every one has been using. Sure,fine, what ever!

 

What if a loyalty card was added that could get points for things like free stays.

Would a shower as part of the package make it more enticing?

Shore power options at a nominal upgrade cost?

 

Easy way around that, pour it into their cup in front of then, then transfer to your cup/thermos, Throw their cup in trash, everyone is happy

 

Thornton's here where I get my coffee is letting me use my own stainless steel tumbler again cuz they know me. Even though company policy is to not. Randy, the manager there, explained it. Even though you and I might have really clean "personal" cups. He's seen some that look like they were just pulled out of the garbage or a mud puddle. So rather than have those disgusting few contaminate everything. They've restricted everyone.

So as always it's the few disgusting pigs impacting the rest.

 

Then they want to charge you for the cup.
Had that happen.

 

Actually at thornton's they were charging everyone the refill price. But YMMV at other places.

 

If we’re talking about me, a loyalty card wouldn’t entice me. I tend to stay at shippers or in off the beaten path places that are lovely, dark and deep for I have miles to go before I sleep. The card wouldn’t get used enough to be of a real value.

Same price the shower would be nice. My truck is pretty complete for long term OTR so adding things from a parking place isn’t always a perk. Lots of times I choose where I stop and park by what I want to eat i.e I want Chinese food so I stay a place that has a Panda Express nearby. The main function on where I stop is “where will stopping make me the most money and/or save me on HOS.”

I said $30 for 34 only because you begin to get into the hotel room pricing at $50

 

It'd be interesting if places like this would allow food trucks in. Not roach coaches. But then foodie ones. The drivers get good food. The food trucks get customers. The lot gets a small cut or at the least possibly more customers.
