All trees are down, including a third one, and cut up and canned.

Still have to get rid of the trunk and large limb pieces.

Have lots of seed pods to rake and sweep as well.

The OM said we will not be denied.

Had an opportunity to watch a truck get destroyed yesterday.

A moderately large company with Freightliner trucks.
Coming out of a construction zone, road opened back up and this truck had the right steer tire blow.
It basically exploded the entire right side of the truck.
Tire and body shrapnel everywhere. It was quite surprising at the amount of damage.

Now, I hate paid parking at least as much, and maybe more, than the "next guy".

And TX isn't my regular lane, but I get out that way a couple times a year, so I don't know the good "hidey holes" in the area.

So I always saw my options in the area, like this:

    A) Park for free at the scrawny Love's on the other service road, if I can find a spot not taken by a dropped trailer or local driver's car in the piss-scented parking lot that looks like it has been through several meteor strikes.

    OR

    B) Pay $10 to park at Duke's, on a noticeably less piss-scented, well maintained lot. Then get some tasty but somewhat pricey BBQ at Cotton Belt, slice of cake from the bakery for dessert, and a sack of fried pies for the road.

Get a good night's sleep, grab a cuppa joe in the morning, and exit the parking lot without the added aggravation of the "creative parking" crowd.

Totally worth it to me, JMO. And I HATE to pay for parking. YMMV.

Not pickin' atcha Judge, jus sayin'.

What a freaking headache. The water pump I ordered last christmas is too short and wont bolt to the fan extension. On top of that, some one has glued the front main seal to the timing cover. So I had to destroy the timing cover gasket trying to gently take it apart. Good thing I like a challenge.

Probably why I am here. Your all a heck of a challenge. LOL
