Yeah, but at least you didn't drive 50 miles down the road with a truck stop trash can hanging off the end of your load.....right?

Well, time to hit the rack. I'm already in Indi-effin-ana at the TA in Demotte. Late morning drop near Madison, WI, tomorrow, thence to parts unknown. G'night!

Went and cranked my Truck up today. Only the third time, since April 4th. Fired right up, each time. Only 25k on an OH, mpgs were just starting to climb. Hope my rings are staying sealed up. Seems ok, no smoke. I need to drive it a bit. Wheel seals in this heat, need some oil. Still trying to finish the sprinkler system at home. Got to get busy on the Truck, fix a few things. get back to work. At my pace, it’ll take 4 weeks, to do everything.

Sure it’s a Detroit? Lol. That thing looks pretty complicated. Reminds Me, must insulate my Cab, my wife and I are always yelling at each other. Very aggravating.

I spent 2 summers, back in 83-84, loading steel beams, onto Flatbeds. Unload plates from rail cars, and barges. Hot Louisiana Heat. That was a dangerous job. Biggest beam was 9 tons. 36”x300x60. 36” wide, 300 per ft. 60 ft. long. One of those comes swinging at you hooked to a crane, all you can do is stay out of the way!!! Still makes me cringe to think about it. We had 50’ stretch trailers. Boss let Me back one in, stretched it out too far, and pulled it in two. Lol, We had to use the crane, to get it back together. Supervisor was so mad, said I was never to get behind the wheel again!!!

Remember, in this case the grass really is greener on the canadian side of the fence. Tho the bugs are also thicker.
