Your hero has something to say, may want to listen up before he kicks you in the head, then makes you.

Maybe not hero, but I heard him say he was ‘your’ friend.

    #1....why would you want to
#2...get moving reverse (barely) , clutch in range selector up, clutch out.
Keep in mind, the 13 speeds are the forward gears, reverse is not included in the count. Some tranny's (or companies) block out the use of high range reverse BTW

The only way I've found is to start out that way. Tried several times with the truck rolling ( cement mixer ) and it didn't like it.

I used to do that in the trash truck. Had a few long long backs on residential streets. They asked that I not do a U turn at the end. It tore up the pavement.
Get going with the switch down. Then when reached the max in 'low' reverse. Flip the switch. This was on a 2009 Kenworth with a 13 speed.
EDIT: Yes I had to be careful. Once ya get going in reverse high. It can easily get squirrely. I'd back down without hesitation.

I'm glad I decided not to paint last night.
Woke up this morning. It rained. Nothing in the forecast?
I decided to use my reefer madness treatment on sleep. Took some melatonin. Help me to not wake back up too soon.
EDIT: Oooops! It tained! .... It didn't rain! :)

On a long back in a straight truck (cement/trash) OK, I understand. But in a big rig, not a wise choice when attached to a trailer. Bobtail, yeah I get it....but please, it doesn't take much at all to get squirly .... not to mention, pedestrians aren't always paying attention....far too much at stake!
