True story right out of Round Rock by my son in law w/Dell.

Dell support, how can I help??
I have a new computer system and my screen just went off.

Alright, its probably a loose connection behind the monitor. Reach around back and wiggle
    the two connecting cables.
Well, its dark behind and I can't see any cables.

Its alright, just reach and wiggle, won't take much.
    Still can't see them

Well, move a lamp over if you need to and we will get this going.
Can't use a lamp. power went off earlier.

    Silence........

Sir, do you still have the boxes you computer came it,
Yes I do, and all the little bags and ties in case something came up.

Good now, what we need to do is in the morning, box it up and return it.
Oh, you think the problem is that serious???
YES IT IS, BECAUSE YOU ARE TO #### STUPID TO OWN A COMPUTER.

We has arrived at our receiver. Did pretty good here I think. There's nowhere around this town to post up that I saw, but lot's of room at this receiver. Like we're in a lined truck parking space.

Stopped at Kroger and scored pretty good there on the way up.

    The OM is pleased.

Last ms computer I had. I got it screwed up with an app from a Bank. Went to place to fix it. He sat there and deleted the instructions for my piano software. I asked him why? He said it's not microsoft. Told him that was the instructions for my piano software key. If I had any problem. The answer was in there. Thank God the key itself is a physical USB plug. Don't you dare delete that driver. It's there because ms won't provide a driver that will play the note when I play it. ms demands you wait three seconds to hear it. He finally got it working again.
I tried the Bank again. Went down. ... So I fixed it... I bought a used MacIntosh.

Don’t you love when you are watching a movie, and the player freezes, won’t restart and your left hanging going, “What happened for the last 40 minutes if the movie ???”

I don’t know, and neither will.......

When the desk top is beyond use, the replacement will not be Redmond based, that is for sure. Maybe Mac, or some other version of Unix/Linux.

Yeah, but it was... “Freeze or I’ll....”

    Throw a shoe at him?
    Hit him with a hammer?
    Throw the pistol at him?
Tell him the facts of life?
    Or the meaning of life?
    Or ...?

I think Unix/Linux is a bit much for me. I'm too lazy. Or maybe burnt out from too many years of fixing ms.

ms really got to me when they did an update. My computer all screwed up. I called help desk. Charged me $75. It was some setting they created in the update. Changed how I had it before. Then they asked me to rate them... I said: Help Desk 10. Microsoft 1. .... That put me half way to switching to Apple. I've never looked back.
