I stopped in Baytown at the TA. I just wanted to top my tanks off to make my drop mañana and then slingshot back to where I started. I finished pumping the fuel, and pulled out of the fuel island and parked. I went into the TA and grabbed some cinnamon pop tarts.

The most trucker thing I did today was walking back to my truck I looked at this guy walking towards me and said to myself....that looks a lot like Dave. I had my corona mask on because I’m a good little liberal and I said Dave?!? He looked at me with disgust at my custom sew mask made from tears of the working man taxes. I said his name again. Dave!
He realized it was I, a minion of the OM and said hello. We walked into the truck stop.

Dave did walk up to the hot food counter and asked the girl what one of the steam trays had in it. I didn’t hear her response, but from Dave’s body language you could tell she said “I have no idea”, and she had no desire to figure it out. Dave turned around and sat down.

 

What sort of price range are you looking for right now for a new ride? Auto , manual, miles?

 

I know where one truck came from, but it actually had more miles at 480k,
But all new Def filters, midroof, that I need to get around these old places to load here.
Downside is that one is a DT12 w/ DD15 @475.
They were asking 35k, I got that down to 29500
EPU works.
It had recaps, I told him those had to go before I was interested.
So, of course, that’ll raise the price about $3000.
I just don’t know about anything auto transmissions.

But I just made a couple calls and could sale mine today for $18000 cash.
Amazing they tell me at dealers 5-6k
One was going as high as 10k but I know they'd sale it for 18-20k easy.
