What if it Snows?

I have one that sun bathes on my picnic table when it's cold. Had a overwhelming urge to shoot him for awhile but after I thought about it, I would do the same if I was him. He is kinda like family now.

 

Things have changed a lot. My folks grew potatoes on the farm north of Paul.
I was under 9 years old in those days.
We hired migrant workers to pick the spuds into gunny sacks then loaded them on Grandpa's '48 Ford flatbed to take them to the cellar.
That would have been in the early '60s.

 

Well.

I am sitting out in the cornfield, ole lady said, “Can I go, I know you’ll be back tonight.”

me “Mumble..mumble grumble..”
Her, “What’d you say??”
Me “Sure! I’d be happy to take you along!!”

So, I’m taking photos like this one.




“What do you think you’re doing?”

“Nothing, just looking at the scenery.”

 

Well the smoke has arrived here on the east coast. We were supposed to have sunny skies with temps of 73F.
Instead it was a balmy 57F this morning and warmed to 63 by mid afternoon.

 

72 beautiful degrees in N.Carolina today. First time in 4 months I have gotten out of the truck and haven't had instantaneous butt crack sweat. So happy I polished my wheels. Thinking about putting my running shoes on and jogging to the Wendy's to try out the new pub burger. Man I love fall.
In honor of Opus, it's such a glorious day I'm not.even going to run my APU.

 

Got my fan off, without knocking a hole in my new radiator. I put cardboard just in case. Usually I don’t bother. New one has to be ordered. Going price $1300. Horton kit at Fleetpride was $550, in stock. Same kit at Freightliner was $390. 2-3 days out. Go figure Bought a Kit masters kit for $435. Good enough, now to figure out how to do the rebuild.

 

I’m not such a bad guy, when you get to know me, I’m just a Jerk.
That’s my alter ego when I mess with people on the CB too.

They say “Which truck are you on Jerk!! I’ll show you!”

me “The big black Pete with chicken lights all over, I’ll turn them on so you can find me, I’ll be waiting for you.”

Weather in NC today is awesome. Even over here on my sandbar.

Fall is my favorite time of the year usually.

No more tourists. HA!

The lack of humidity is making me want to bust on in fits of giggles.
