Already gone from Helena. Still haven't had to do anything but drive that car. Got sent to MIles City today. Supposed to be in the 80s tomorrow with bright sunshine. I fly back home on the 30th and no snow in sight until then.

No one noticed all the warning / malfunction lights were out.:(

And I haven't changed my newly acquired DEF filter yet.

    Updated fuel numbers-

    Trip 3,811.4 miles. 492.6 gallons. 7.73 mpg

    Leg 370.4 miles. 52 gallons. 7.12 mpg.

( Just wouldn't have been the same without the 30 mph breeze right in the face for 250 miles)

What happened to Truck II after WesternPlains quit and went fishing?

We managed to get him to a warehouse only 30 minutes from the original delivery. He sat there most of the day and finally got unloaded.

So he'll get like $250 in detention and about $50 extra in LH.

He was able to make his pick up. We had the agent put it back out, but no one took it. Which is astonishing because he'll basically net $950 for it, delivering in the morning.

But you can't beat a good day of fishing.

I used to keep one of these in the truck. A big spoonful or two would keep the hunger at bay until I could get some real food.

A dash with no warning lights is a good feeling. At 47 years old, when they go out it gives me the very same feeling as walking down stairs on Christmas morning and seeing a shiny bike under the tree.

I don’t like when flatbedders help tarp, I had my system and help put me out a step, so I’d still have to go back over it.

Plus, I just made a guy mad by trying to help out.
I got out of my truck to hearing air blowing bad, thought it was mine, turned out, was they guy in line in front of me, brake pod.
I told him, he got out, heard it, called his boss, then told his boss I told him it had a bad air leak.

So since he couldn’t stand on his two feet
his boss called and wanted to know why I told him about it.

So I told him it could be fixed with a couple dimes, but he needed to get off my back, and as far as I’m concerned, I won’t tell the guy anything, even if it was on fire, I’d be looking the other way.

    So I’m a jerk again.
