We survived Teddy. Some tain, fair amount of wind. Didnt lose power at all, thank you God. Sun is out.
Got a $25 lawn to do this afternoon. She is a regular. She had alot of bad mowing companies before she hired me. One of them left tall spots. One of them would come by if they felt like it (after the grass was a foot tall). I was getting the normal rate of $40 per. She said she had diffculty with the price making ends meet. Gave her the contractors rate. Yes she was the weekend job that had the dog sitting outside.

 

Lmao i got called a trolled cuz i dont believe in walking up a ladder with a 100 pound tarp on ur shoulder... how stupid do u gotta be to do something like that LOL

I got a call for a couple loads earlier, people must be crazy.

Me “Yep.”

Broker “Hey, I know that run you was on got rained out, I got you amother load, it’s going to Houston.”

Me “You ain’t got me a load going to Houston, it’s flooded.”

Broker “Not all of it.”

Me “The part you’ll want me to go will be, No.”

Broker “How about a load up to Marshall Mo? It pays 42/ton.”

Me “No.”

Broker “Why? That’s a good rate

Me “The run I usually do up there for you is $40/ton, want me to go another 160 miles for $50, that’s 160 mile more DH back to the reload putting 320.”

broker “I have corn back to Green Forest Ar. It’s closer dh.”

me “No, Green forest sucks, it’s in the backwood hills and nothing but a DH another 150-200 miles, one dead area is bad, two dead areas are horrible, I’m taking a day off.”

I’m going to put me an airline connection in the center of my trailer to work my air connections instead of from gladhand, todays a good day for minor repairs.
