    #### I only feed off fear. That's why FDR is dead. ##### crippled game.

I'm just sitting here in gas city IN. I woke up and can't leave for a while.....

Are you company or OO? I was a company tanker driver when my truck was being rebuilt. After a bit of time and the money. I thought I don't need to be an OO. Good equipment, good pay and benis doing tankers.

    Company driver. Always and forevermore.

I have ZERO interest in O/O.

    If I couldn't drive tanker, I wouldn't drive.

    You know.

I’m going to quit trying anymore.

Got up at 0400, to make this 0700 appointment that I did not set, made it here at 0630 at a 24/7 facility, as I was told, pull on scales walk and check in, and they say,

    “Can I help you?”
Me “Here to pickup for the 0700.”
Well, we don’t start til 0700, so I suggest you go back and wait in your truck.”

Me “That’s okay, it might have made the 1100 Appointment at your biggest customer, 230 miles away, but I can promise you, it won’t now.
I’m not even going to try.”

I backed my truck off their scales.
Guy walks out, “Sir, you could’ve left your truck on the scale, we’ll weigh you in and get you under the spout.

    “I can’t hear you, I don’t start til 0700.”
    Roll up window.

    Yes..
You be a jerk to me, I show my jerk card. :D

I still remember a bunch of little towns before they built the bypass around them that had lights. The only one I can think of now is old town Eureka, and I'm not sure about it now. Been a while since I've been up that way.

And we are trying to get them to stay. Back in the 80s there were signs in Southern Oregon saying "Don't Californicate our State". Obviously the signs didn't work. Lol.
Seriously, I was born and raised in California. When I left in '96 I had been living in a semi-rural, going urban in a hurry, area on the Sacramento/Placer County line. Within a couple hours of some of the best fishing and hunting areas. 2 hours to Reno/Tahoe if I felt like gambling or to the Bay Area for a ball game. I still miss it but with the current political climate there and the cost of living, I will only coming back to visit friends and family.

I remember when I moved here back in 77 and Californians felt the same way about outsiders. There were bumper stickers that said "Welcome to California, now go home". Today just about everybody who lives here came from someplace else, and now many of them are leaving. The town where I live now is almost 60,000, and when I bought my first home here in 85, it had around 20,000.
