    Here in Tupelo area; hardwood (Oak/Hickory) is running $125 a cord, delivered and stacked.
    Competition is natural gas, that clean blue flame... Can't dig a post hole w/out hitting a pipeline.

    Ok.

    I lost my composure.
    I may have, in a moment of uncertainty and while not in control went off on a couple of people here for their ignorance, and mine too, because I tried, knowing it was pointless, figuring a power trip.

    So, I hauled that 5,100lb 30 miles, still haven’t heard back on that rate, though it should pay a 50k minimum.
    Wasted yesterday evening through noon today, which made me have to rinse trailer out in a tropical storm.

    Get here to load, it’s pouring.
    Drive around the complex 3 times because the lady doesn’t know west from East, but at least she tried...

    I finally get under load spout, open tarp, one guy said back hopper good to go, guy that checked front said it was wet.
    Told me I had to dry it,
    Told him with what, my jacket, it’s 40 degrees and taining like a beast.

    So he gives me a roll of paper towels, me.. actually trying to be decent, not yet super angry, climb through mud in regulation push-up style to get in and wipe water spots... wasn’t enough water spots to hurt anything.
    Rice=absorb water. Plus it’s taining.

    So I get it wiped almost all the way of what I reach and some other guy whistled from the top ladder of my hopper and gave me the kill it sign and so I climb back out through mud/sour rice.

    Then they say, “Just wasting your time, your trailer is to wet to load.”

    I may have told the 3 guys there what I thought about the matter and ending with a “You’re dang right your not loading it, I didn’t feel like driving mostly 2 lane through the dark and rain all the way to I-10 anyway.”

    Still no breakfast.. or a snickers bar..
    :(:(

    I was "held back" in third grade. Such a nice way of telling a young boy like myself he was too stupid to move on. Everyone said it was because I was born in November and was really to young for the class, but even at a young age I knew that was BS. Make no mistake, I was to stupid to move on.Lol
