Useless bits of winter trivia
The only state that has not seen a subzero temperature is Hawaii
The coldest temperature recorded in the contiguous U.S. is 70 degrees below zero, measured at Rogers Pass, Montana, on Jan. 20, 1954.
The oldest record was set on Jan. 22, 1885 on Mount Washington, New Hampshire, the highest peak in the Northeast, when the thermometer dropped to 50 degrees below zero.
Records in the South are colder than you might expect. South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi and Louisiana all have dropped to the teens below zero, while Tennessee has seen the mercury plunge as low as 32 degrees below zero.
February 1936 was the coldest February on record in the contiguous U.S., narrowly eclipsing February 1899
And of course, as expected, the coldest temperature in the U.S. was set in Alaska. The mercury plummeted to 80 degrees below zero on Jan. 23, 1971 in Prospect Creek in central Alaska, north of Fairbanks.Lumper Humper, Rideandrepair, D.Tibbitt and 8 others Thank this. -
Ok.
So last year I got the father in law a nice button up shirt.
I don’t like the guy but had to keep peace.
That guy got me old spice soap on a rope and aftershave.
I have had a beard for 4 years.
This year he got me an old spice soap on a rope, and I regifted him his soap on a rope kit, but I ended up the “jerk” to “daddy.”
Maybe it was because I told him he could take that other soap on a rope and keep it because I wasn’t holding it all year again, and to keep his money and I won’t have to waste mine.
I tried, give him a $25 shirt that I’d have worn and he comes up with a $5 soap on a rope kit.
To me, that’s an insult.

Well if it were not for the need for the wife to see her Dad tomorrow. I would be putting the fuel barb on the tractors fuel tank tomorrow.
