In the latest from the world of techy things that are over my head but probably child's play for most of you, I spent 4 hours last night playing Dragon Warrior and reliving the good old days on some "emulator". I went to shut it down and save it like I used to 30 years ago, and when I went to pick up where I left off I found the game didn't save.

I tried it again this morning and couldn't find anyway to do it. I tried it on another one, and that one could take saves and drops them in your download folder, but it needs an app to open the file that "isn't available in your region or country". :banghead:

So I went hunting for another way to do it. I downloaded something called OpenEmu which is supposedly made for this sort of thing. I had to "enable keyboard input permissions" or some BS but I got it where it work.... only to find THERE'S NO GAMES ON IT!!!:biggrin_25510:

    Ugh...!! I give up... :banghead:

I no longer use it for general browsing. But from time to time I get my old laptop out that has Windows 98 on it. Still works! If I encounter old software and want to test it, I boot up that old machine and use it. Since Vista MS has changed so much under the hood I would highly advise getting new games.

It is BAD when you REACH a spot and can't GO any FURTHER. Understand exactly...

It is BAD when you get THERE and find NOTHING

Aww hell! So I was determined I would start the tractor today. Pffft as if! The new fuel valve that needs a fitting for the fuel barb? It doesnt have NPT threads. It is a one quarter brake line. With all the stuff I have. The one thing I dont stock are brake lines or their fittings. Tomorrow its another trip to town.

    Sigh
