What if it Snows?

Just clawed my way through Indiana yesterday dealing with sleet and ice .

I like Indiana. I’ve seen a lot of it hauling milk.

Where you from now ?

 

I have some great recipes left over from my ex born and raised in Northern Italy.

Went to make carbonara last month. Spent the day trying to find pancetta and finally gave up and made it with bacon.

Not the same.

My sister said Michigan is full of Hollanders like us and Polocks. They don’t know how to cook Italian


Soon as I get to Florida I am heading into Publix and buying pancetta and making Carbonara the Right Way.

 

That's where I got my CDL.

 

I rent south of St Louis. My uncle is just out side of Kankakee illinois. I want north west indiana.

I lived in Jersey for a couple of years you can get very good italian food. Mootzarella in the food bar at the grocery store. I would get that and olives. Go to my truck and work. Pretty good way to start the week.

 

That song just got me in a stupid argument.
First off.....
I got to hear it being sung while playing on the radio until the jerk appeared..

me “Who sings that?”

ole lady “I’m not really sure.”

me “Oh. Well I wish they’d sing it somewhere else.”

ole lady”Woukd you walk 500 miles for me?”

me “Wth..? What’re you smokin’?
Ain’t no way in heck I’d walk that far, but I can drive it in around 7.75 hours.”

ole lady “So you wouldn’t walk for me?”

me “Wtf... You didn’t ask if I’d walk like down the street, your talking about across the state, unless we were in TX, then halfway across the dang thing.”

I think I’m dealing with either..

A.) A breakdown

B.)Midlife Crisis

C.) ....?

 

And for any one else thinking along theses lines.... A starting point for research.

 

Arguments like that suck, the wife and I have had a few. Normally one of us is like WTF just happened! I'm going with C and a possible A..

 

One of my best friends is in Kankakee. It's a cute little town.

Northwest Indiana is hit or miss. Dyer and St. John are the nicest areas I can think of off the top of my head.
