The above post has been referenced for the below response......

So the fact you drove over 60k miles last year (working with and hauling stuff most folks would not want to admit exist) aint good enough?

    Guess not.
Who else has taken a bone meal bath when the airline fell into the pit and ground up bone chunks all over..

worse than an oil bath when you drop the plug and hit the pan

After looking thru a bunch of pictures i took this year. Some of them just put a big smile on my face . Started googling pictures of trucks. Watching videos on youtube of trucks. The time off was much needed but im ready to go. I have that love for trucking back in my blood . Almost like being a little kid again. Cant believe i get paid to do this job. Amazed at some of the pictures i took this year. Places i never would have been able to see if it wasnt for trucking. As stressful as the job is, as frustrating as it could be at times. It is worth it. Hopefully 2021 is much of the same. Had alot of fun hauling those rocks all last summer. Probably the most fun ive ever had in my life has been in trucking, all alone just staring out the windshield, dreaming of what could be. Who needs drugs and alcohol when ya got some gears to slam and window to stare out of ? Nothing comes close to the feeling of runnin down the road with 80,000 pounds strapped to ur back.

It's funny. I'm sitting here, and I don't identify with this at all. I mean, driving is my job. But once I retire, I'm DONE with it. I don't have ANY romance for the job.

I like my coworkers and I like my route, and I like the music I discover while driving (thanks, spotify radio stations), but I guess I just don't have diesel in my veins. Lol

I had it in my head that all these new sights and towns would be experienced but have since realized it will just be a blur from blowing through these places, long enough to switch a load or whatever then gone again.. more like endless parking lots and filthy bathrooms is all I'd be experiencing

No, no license or any prize anymore. They stopped doing that in 2016.
    So no more Crackerjacks.
