Dinner was Perogis in onions, with Zatarans smoked sausage. Cajun meets Polish. Pretty good. Quick and easy. Snows coming tomorrow, 2 rounds of it, early and late. Expecting 6-8”. About ready to crash out. Ran all night. Sleep good tonight.

yeah they have ThermoKing APUs and 1k Watt inverters. Trucks have a idle kill after so long, but you can trick it. But with the bunk heater I've not needed to do it. Can I say that I don't get why the APU even has a heat setting. I mean it has AC/Fan/Heat options. But the heater don't do Jack. The bunk heater can toast it up nice, granted. But what is the point of that APU heater if it don't do anything.

Ok, so I just called in a weather shut down to safety. I was planning to still go back to the receiver in an hour. But walking into the PFJ just now. I was talking with another driver. Who just came in off the road. He was stuck for an hour just a half mile down the road on one of the over passes due to no traction. It's gotten much worse since I parked. I'd rather sit here than be in a ditch. Guess they'll get their chicken tomorrow.

Trucker stories are sometimes like fishing stories. You can’t always take somebody’s word for it.

Oh I can tell the roads have to be worse. The parking lot has gotten much worse since I parked here 7 hours ago. But yes, you call into safety and do a weather shut down. Our company would rather you be shut down and deliver late. Than in a ditch never delivering. Irony is I could have delivered this to them hours ago. But they decided they couldn't take it. Not enough "room" till later for my "product."
