    Heavy haul and heavy axle ratings go together. Some states allow 20k per axle, but you have to be rated. Some states do cost pound per mile over 80k. So 5 axles can get you 100k. Others only rate trailer axles at 18k, so a tri axle trailer will 54k in weight plus the tractor. The load won't be perfect for you so even if you had 13k steers and 40k drives plus 40k for the trailer, you probably won't scale out at 103k. I have a friend that used a tri axle trailer for 9 months, most he did was low to mid 90s. .
