“So, do you want a load that you have to DH 260 miles, the load is 211 miles, pay is 1.35per 100 (about 635$) then you can DH 35 mile for a load going 280 mile for .56/bu/corn (so about 490-500) Then!!
You can dh 100 mile for a load going 95 mile for a load of rough rice at .73 per 100(about $800)”

    Me:

    Um.
    No. :biggrin_25513:

It’s the good thing about ownership, people expect you to haul cheap garbage with 100k worth of equipment where it’s actually costing You, to haul their freight.
But you have the right to say, “No.”
The sad thing is, someone will haul that.

And they’ll have 3 days tied up in nothing.
And in a year, they’ll be out of business, wondering how they went broke, they were hauling freight and working everyday.
    :(

I thought reusable for Landfill. Sounds so much more PC than disposable. Lol

They probably also had 9 spd, or 10 spd. direct transmissions. Fuel economy in mind. Here’s an old Swift Truck For sale in summer of 2000. Same tears. Good price at the time for a 4 yr old Truck.True money maker.

Both dogs left with me in the Truck. They climb all over her while driving. I’ve got a couple nice crates at home. They’ll be crated in the back of the Jeep for trips to the Vet. Another reason we. need a Jeep.

You must be a real Texan instead of the type who believes stuff like Nacogdoches tries to sell

ADF7DE72-B19E-4831-ABD3-D0916068A250.jpeg Here’s the main reason. 2 carts of groceries. No problem. It rides great. Easy to drive. 109” wb. Easy to maneuver in parking lots. Looks good in the driveway, where it will be most of the time. We put 40k on our Pontiac in 8 yrs. This one will be even less. I got the State park pass today on the registration. Now all I need is a boat, Lol. Maybe next year. Now it’s time to work.

So I passed the Tanker test. Missed 4 of the 20. Barely passed. Guess I should have studied. Lol. All I could think was how it’s a small example of my entire life. Always just squeaking by, Lol. I’ve truly been blessed in that respect. Seems I always beat the odds. Something I enjoy doing. At least that’s what I tell myself. Gratitude goes a long way towards true happiness, contentment is a better description of what we call happiness. Mr. obvious strikes again!!! Safe Travels everyone. Especially D. Tibbitt. He’s traveling down a different road soon. Now we know what he’s been up to when missing. Re investing his profits. Lol. All the richest Truckers make it investing in other things with the seed money from Trucking. Smart Man. Fast Learner. Most importantly a good attitude. Keys for Success. Happy Trails.
