Tomorrow we deliver about 1/2 mile from the house. But then we enter THE COMMUNIST STATE to final.

The OM says unless someone comes up with a galactically stupid amount of money we're going to get a trip back here and kick it for a few days.

Maybe even sit out the blitz.

So I did my @D.Tibbitt impression today and ran over Snow-Call-Me. Also ended up not being able to stay at the TA in North Bend. Which turned out to be a good thing. I'm at a little TS that is 15 minutes from my 0400 stop tomorrow. Looks like it has some decent quality fried food, too. I'll have to try that next time I am this way.

E-Quality. Is that anything like E-Mail?

Gonna double post. But I have a question that I know people in here will have an answer. The other day I was stuck at a shipper. So I was sitting on split sleeper. I knew I was going to run at least a couple of hours more before I shut down. But the split was getting long enough that it was going to turn into a full 10 hour reset. So I flipped from sleeper to On Duty for my PTI then back to sleeper. After loaded I ran for another 3hours before shutting down for my "true" break.

With regards to HOS and Pre/Post Inspections. What is the right/best way to do this in the future? Can you be sleeper for 10 hours even if it's not the end of your "day?"

I personally would have taken my 10 hrs. That way, if I was rested too I could start a fresh day. Now if I was tired, I still would have finished the 10. That way you can do what you need to based on your situation. You know, maybe you felt like driving 5 hours instead of the 3 you had left.

    Ok.
I’ve realized, since this is happened countless times lately, things I forget, I’m going to say it’s from getting older, since it sounds better than old.
What is it, that I keep forgetting little things?
The main one, is a zipper.
It’s zipped in the morning, but I get told by the ole lady about that a few times, and used to that never happened,

Second thing, I don’t lose keys/wallet, as I have a habit that I lay my clothes for the next day out, and swap those items to the next pair of pants and either put them in drivers seat, of computer chair at house.
But I can have a drink and set it down and do something and can’t find my drink, or paperwork that I just had, somewhere.

    Another thing.
Why, if something is just above brim of a cap, do you forget to duck?
Can you just not see it, bad vision, or just forget??

These are serious items we need to resolve.

    Sure, why not.
The only thing I would have done differently is not bust up my 10 hour break by going on duty. Just ride it out and do your PTI after your 10 is up.
