I'm also willing to DH some for the right loads. As long as my per mile rate is where I want it, but I have taken an occasional crap load due to HOS or just no availability. Goal now is to make every dime I can for the next 9-12 weeks and hope to find a job back home, I'm not going to be an OTR dad. My dad didn't have a choice, and the same goes for my mom's dad. I'll find a way to support my family and be with them though.LoSt_AgAiN, Cowboyrich, Dale thompson and 7 others Thank this.

Dry van only for me lol. I also watch the boards the entire time on my way to receiver. Mark the loads I'm interested in, and hope they stay available for 2-3 days lmao. Brokers are more willing to negotiate a stale load than a fresh one IMO.LoSt_AgAiN, Dale thompson, lovesthedrive and 1 other person Thank this.

Hopper you can pretty much run regional/otr/local, guess you could dryvan if you were in a good area.
I’m waiting 7 miles away from my delivery in Mo, 0730, but I stay within 500 miles of the houseLoSt_AgAiN, Dale thompson, Dave_in_AZ and 2 others Thank this. -
I'm wanting to be home daily/nightly once the kid comes, and also have good benefits. My wife suffers from narcolepsy, and we may have to take her off the medication (it's classified as a threat due to the lack of information), despite the number of mothers who have had healthy babies while on the medication. I've also learned over the last few years women suffer from narcolepsy at a higher rate than men (reasons unknown), and that in a good portion of women who have narcolepsy it goes away after childbirth (also reasons unknown). The infrequent diagnosis of the condition has actually left doctors with more questions than answers other than treatment.LoSt_AgAiN, Dale thompson and lovesthedrive Thank this.
