Nothing narcotic, or too potent. I'd been offered narcotics, and refused then as I'm not a fan of their effects, or their ability to cause further injury.

    “Why are we stopping??”
“The sign says Open, all idiots in a truck must stop and you a best Full stop for the Cabool scales, you’ll back up and do it again, the right way, then bring in paperwork, and might get a ticket for running a stop sign(disregarding a traffic control device) and told, and I’m quoting a DoT Officer here “That sign says stop, not slow the f down.”

Didn’t happen to me, but a guy got chewed out there about that while another was checking my BoLs a while back.

But we are at receiver, waiting our 1500 appointment..

I only just had to tell a Foltz driver that he was in inconsiderate.. person of the human race.
Parked in the driveway, and went to walking a poodle.. a dude in shorts and flip flops.. with a poodle.
Made it difficult for me to get off the highway and blindside back into a spot. I kicked engine fan on and dusted him out... I know I’m a jerk..
But I’ve had to explain things I thought most people knew.
It’s like answering questions from a 5 year old, it never ends.

I thought about swapping to a DoT years ago, I know a few, but I’d hate for I have to write someone up and take their money for something they may have tried to get fixed, but their company won’t do anything about it

I’ve worked driving a truck you could look down and see the road the truck was so rusted out, one the drivers seat fell through the floorboard and landed on the saddle fuel tank, they put a block of wood between the tank and bottom of seat to hold it up so you could see over the steering wheel..

That was the truck, they took fifth wheel off, stretched frame and made straight truck out of it.
