So..
I was getting fuel at the quik trip in Joplin..2.81, btw, and this DoT dude pulls up, I’m like...”Don’t make eye contact.”
He just threw his lil sack of trash away, and in the mean time, I got a text, “Wanna run back to Stuttgart AR tonight, load in morning, and be back in Frontenac KS by 4pm tomorrow?
I asked the DoT guy, he said it was impossible, and I best not do we’d meet on a more impersonal situation.

So, I said, “Dang, always holding the working guy down, ah well, I didn't feel like driving about 21 hours straight anyway..”

I do like having DoT, if not they'd try and force you to drive all the time.

 

Too bad that isnt 9k net.

I just met the rudest lady ever.
Ever.
Wait an hour and a half to scale in, was 3 trucks ahead of me.
Then, walk up these stairs, go inside, the driver checkin room is HOT.
I’m talking can’t breathe hot, no ventilation at all.
And she in here lil room, fan and AC, takes paperwork, kinda snatched it out of my hand, gamerboy looked at me? I didn’t say anything then, just shrugged.
She looked at paperwork, yada yada, Put it on the system, said, “Go cut seals and bring them back to me, I need all of them.”
Me
“Then I suggest you walk down there and get them, there is four, two on tarp, one on each hopper door.”

her
“Not my Job.”

me “Not my job either, i got the load here, if i take it back i still get paid, infact, Refuse it, for all I care, I’ll get paid same rate to bring it back.”

So,
Yada yada, older guy came in, got situation straightened out, said he’d been having alot of complaints on her.”

This place starts out 16.40/hour all benefits on day 1, and she thinks shes better then everyone else, we just truck drivers, guess she hadn’t came across another jerk yet.

Still waiting to unload.

Interstate was shut down early this morning. Road rage. 4 wheeler shot up a dry van. No one hurt. Cops must have been looking for casings or a gun.
