Peering up in that gaping hole, it looks like a lot of the interior broken ends on both sides, consist of "sandwiched pieces". of some similar wood.
I recall a seed cleaning operation in West Point, MS. Built in the early 50's and the overhead bins were
fabricated out of 1 x 2 or 1 x 3 hardwood flooring stacked up sandwich style. Things were about 8 feet square and 10 or 12 feet deep. Did have a sheet metal slanted/tapered bottom with a outlet spout.
This was before Butler Bins and apparently it took that type build to withstand the "bulge" pressure.
Thinking back, I now wonder how the building itself supported that load up in the top. Lotta weight in that many beans. Name was Farm Seed and Milling Company, Purina dealer.

Other incident, merging problem. 2 cars. Guy opens fire, then calls the Cops on himself, accusing the other Guy of firing at him. Another incident near me, ended with an off duty Fireman close to retirement dead. Pent up stupidity is on the loose.

I’m sure they’re still there, just seen several loads going back to West Point MS,
I seen one 25 miles from here back to southern AR, know the place, another feedmill, but still waiting on this gut to let us unload, 2 trucks here, he’s unloading a tanker, all he’s gotta do is open the door and start pit, almost 3 hours here, this place never hurrys, sat here all day once, never got any detention, thats why it cost them an extra 8/ton for me to be here..
I’m thinking i under bid, they accepted..and I’m still here.

Bologna came in handy, and the bag of chips.
Now the fridge food has shown its purpose.

Got some mild Italian Sausage on the grill. Straight from freezer to grill. Grill set on low, using 2 burners. Works great. I’ve yet to burn anything on this new grill. Having 5 burners, each one has a pretty low flame.
