Dug out the pic of one of my old trucks. Mostly livestock, some old style putt putt reefer.
Drove it out of Fugate and Gurton Driveaway at Fort Wayne IH plant. 3 way hook up, it, mate to it, and an R 195.
A year later it had 108K miles, all by me except Starkville, MS to Vicksburg, MS. I came in sick from Grand Forks
and someone else delivered the load of potatoes.
Probably late 55, V195, V8,8 speed direct RR, 22" rubber. I quit and went elsewhere when they sold it and
    standardizes fleet on: IH R195's, 6cyl 450 engines, 5th D and 2 speed, 5.57 rear gov at 2750. With it, I could
run up til 2 or 3 AM, sleep till sun full up, eat, coffee, and do it again. Truck ran out of Starkville, MS to, thru, and
around area outlined by. Miami,FL, Hartford,CN, Rice Lake WI, Beresford, SD Scottsbluff, NE, Houston TX.
Gave up cattle hauling for trundling toilet seats to CA, and dried fruit/beans back to China Doll in Mobile, AL
Pic taken on IN East-West Toll Road on day it opened. WB end plaza. Went E on US30, came back on this umgoshus new road.

don’t know, 98 outside, so it’s double cheeseburger and Mac and cheese time.
The cheese will probably make me sick, though it may be an improvement.
When your nose is screwed up from chemicals, and you can’t smell odors, it’s bad when you open door and get a strong whiff.

I forget Who he said he was with, United maybe. Till 6 hrs ago. Wasn’t Reliable. I had a Neighbor selling his 98 Pete w/ Cat. 110” Sleeper. He retired from Reliable. I should have bought it. It has transmission noise. Everything else was new or rebuilt. Nice Truck. $35k maybe? Probably go for twice that now.

There’s was some guy who had never seen taxes before.

Wanted to buy a carton of pall malls, like $47, tax was like $52and change, dude, threw a fit.
    Asked about Kools.
When tax came up, he didn’t want them, had a debit/credit card in hand, asked for Marlboro, then another, then to Winston, finally it was “Dude, either get the dang things or get out of the line, one lady here, and we’re backed up out the freakin door, and you haven’t figured out to buy a pack or two to get somewhere cheaper.”
You just can’t deal with ignorance..

After popular discussion. I will renew my CDL for another 5 years. Tho it will have the K restriction. The restriction just means I need a medical card to get hired. Duh! I need a politician to tell me that.

    Massachusetts is notorious for that.
    I reference the following cities:

    STONEHAM
    NEEDHAM
    DEDHAM
    WAREHAM
    FRAMINGHAM
    ASHBURNHAM

And that list is just off the top of my head. I either know people who live there, or have delivered to each one.
