Extremely intelligent as well. Smartest barnyard creatures by far.

    Never.
I'm never, ever going to Memphis again.
Unless they pay me a lot.
Said the same thing about Pennsylvania every year since I've been driving. But, it was $3.50 a mile and only 11k in the box.
But after this time, never again.

Unfair... In areas containing these types that state should have a "trip rental" you could get to cross.
Snap it on at the state line, detach at any scale house leaving area. Could install/remove while performing an inspection for extra income from active employees.

Possible opportunity for entrepreneurs like the old boys on US90 at MS scales. Guy had an F6 Ford, rigged air over hydraulic brakes, only seat tank with 5 gallons in it. Fifth wheel mounted on 6" x 6" oak to get fifth wheel height. Sat at a TS either side till a west coast rig showed up. He would hook you and pull you across for a modest fee. Cut loose and be available for next.
This was back when LA and AR did but MS and TN did not honor a twin screw rig.
Big lines used pups, dropped in W Mphs and shuttled over to Memphis.

Atlanta Metal Casket drivers used to profit around VA scales when coming back empty.
(There is a neat scale house story told on them.)

That's incorrect, and I have no idea where it started. Capsaicin, which is the chemical that gives you Mexican heartburn, is actually concentrated in the inner white pith or rib of the pepper. While the seeds may be coated with some of the capsaicin since they're in contact with the rib, they themselves don't actually contain any heat.
