With all this south winds the past few days, all the smoke must be getting blown into Canada, cuz it isn't here much in the midwest. It's just hot again.

Yes i have 2 phones , different numbers. And 1 backup phone for each number.

 

I just made myself look like a complete rookie trying to backup into the truckstop...gave up because i couldnt get straight , not enough room to manuever. Circled around the lot found another spot and hit it first try.... Trucking is weird.

The current evening assesment is putting Caldor at 54k acres winds today have been out of the south and west sending the fire to the northeast towards Tahoe. Kyburz, Camino, White Hall have been issued mandatory evacuation, and the fire is expected to cross US 50 tonight. They are expecting the night winds to develope to the standard southwest direction (down slope) and with that, Amador County, on the border of El Dorado County is now under an evacuation warning.
Yesterday, the air attack laid excellent retardant line on the west edge of the burn which held through the night and today. The air attack, when the smoke permitted, today was focused on the east edge to contain the easterly spread....seems to have done it's job.
