Back in 09, I found a whole collection of 5, all different colors. They were $450-$750 each. I wanted to buy them. Thought about sitting on the basement. Lol. Wasn’t practical.

I’m sorry to hear that. My daughter was 14. Same thing had lost a lot of weight. Very thirsty and extra hungry all the time. It was a shock. It’s rare to catch it beforehand. Your wife like mine has good intuition. Most kids find out after passing out, often in school. Taken to hospitals in an ambulances. I kept thinking there must be some mistake. It was a very scary time. It’s a big adjustment. But not the end of the World, by any means. Just have to keep track of sugar levels, carbs ingested. The new continuous glucose monitors, and insulin pumps are a big improvement. It’s a lot of information to digest in a short time. The good news is she’s going to get better. Right now she’s malnourished. My daughters hair started falling out after getting out of the hospital. It was only temporary, maybe a couple weeks, because of the malnourishment. No one told Us to expect it. I highly suggest Diabetes Camp. It changed my daughters outlook tremendously. She went 2 yrs as a Camper. And 2 yrs as a Counselor, in charge of the little kids. It was a very rewarding thing for her. The camp was a Godsend for all of Us. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Hang in there. The Juvenile Diabetes Association, JDA has a wealth of information.
