Is an additional seat cushion needed in a semi truck seat, or is the normal seat sufficient for the long hours driving? I sit my rear in an office chair for 8 hours, 5 days a week, and the cheap $50 amazon cushion I have still makes my rear hurt after about 4 hours. What do the Pro's use?

If you have a nice quality seat, then an extra cushion is not needed.

I’ll be poked fun at for this but a QUALITY bead seat cover I absolutely love. Eliminates hot spots and sweating and just makes my day better. I have nice good Kenworth seats currently. Most of the recent trucks I’ve had all had pretty good higher end seats but the bead cover definitely makes them better

Don’t mess around with the cheap ones. Mine was like 80$ but worth every penny. I tried the cheaper ones and they started falling apart after a few weeks. Generally mine last several years. The one in the picture was a Christmas gift from my wife in 2022

LOL - I seen taxi drivers using these 30 years ago. Seriously. In NZ.

You got a link to a good one - ? I’ll try one out.

I’ve got nice new Atlas seats, but I’ll attest to a sweaty rear in summer, I’ll give that a try.

My husband drove a brand new Volvo and he still opted to purchase a seat cushion. FWIW he bought the Purple brand and loved it!

Been using a Purple for years that's getting worse for wear & about ready for burial. Was great for just a younger rear, but now have more aching areas than just rear. This may be more like bead massage?

Have seen these for years, but figured they would just be too hard.

I'm guessing the airflow through this may be sufficient for the AC/Heated seats I now have?

Like Blair, I also would be interested in what brand you have been getting. May just give it a try myself, too.
