When someone sues you, what are you identified as in the complaint to the court? That's the ONLY time what you're called matters. You must be technical in court...anywhere else doesn't matter.

You must understand how the esteemed mind works.

My view as a fellow lease operator is this. I own my truck. I assume all the risks. Everything is still paid for by me. I am therefor an owner op. The only diffrence between me and joe blows the load boards is that i have an exclusive contract with a company to haul their freight and as part of that contract they allow me to use services at a discount over what i myself can use and keep me much busier at a standard rate.
Its no diffrent then if he took his authority and signed a contract with megacorp#82741 to haul 3 trailers full of widgets a week in exchange for X rate and Y fuel surcharge.Siinman Thanks this. -
I prefer to be addressed as “The Exalted One” or “Fearless Warrior “.
Most of the time I tell people it’s my bosses truck and it’s my first week on the job.exhausted379, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Speedy356 and 7 others Thank this. -
