You could have 50 PSP points or more after 4 violations. There’s a site to get the values of each violation. I don’t have it in front of me.
What is my csa score?

Regardless, small things like you've mentioned wont keep you from working. Just put in applications to any company that seems interesting and call back in a week to check on the app. Now, surely the top tier companies might pass on you.
Be honest like you were in your post. If they ask about your violations, or if there is any extra space on the application for comments, let them know you made some rookie mistakes and have learned from them. From my experience managers arent too worried about small violations if you own up to them. If you start crying about how you were setup, they are usually not big fans.
The big offenses that could potentially end your career are roll overs, DUI/DWI, and at fault fatal accidents. And even then, there are small companies in the depths of craigslist that will hire people with those. But it sounds like you just had some hiccups when starting out. Everyone has those, maybe not 4 in the first year haha, but you just have to stay clean now. -
Lepton1 Thanks this.

Sometimes things do happen in a short period of time. I had a brake chamber spring a leak while I was driving. I only drive each trailer 50-60 miles, and load 2 trailers in the course of a day. It was not leaking when I left the yard. Thing can change quickly sometimes.
I only had a few miles left when I heard a hissing, knew I had a leak did not know where. I watch my air pressure gauges and they were good. Drove it the rest of the way to the shop and they installed a new chamber. Sometimes it passes pretrip but develops a problem while driving.
My route is local and is setup to drive around where the dot lurks. Im fine with that.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Trailer was not hissing like that when I left

looks like you have...33 PSP against you...
now for your information, MANY companies have a cut off PSP for drivers, and you're fired.
my company alone has a 60 point fire the driver point....
so be VERY careful. yes you "may" get another job, all depending on THAT company's firing point.....
depending on exact date you got each set of points, after the first year, THOSE particular points drop by 1 third. the second year they drop off the next third, the 3rd year they are single point (so like in your case, you have 6 points on the tail light now, the 2nd year, it'll be 4 points. the 3rd year it'll be 2 points. the 4th year, they are gone.)Last edited: Mar 28, 2018

PSP’s don’t show any scores. They just list the violations for the past 3 years and accidents for the past 5 years.
Companies are not mandated to even use the PSP. And even if they do the driver must still give their consent. Failure to give consent will probably eliminate you for a job but drivers do have that right to refuse.
To sum it up, the PSP is like a credit check. And it’s used like a credit check. It also falls under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. So check it for accuracy. If you’ve had CDLs from different states, pull the PSP using all of your previous CDL numbers.
