    I posted when you showed up here that many HHG Moving Companies were shady operations.... to put it mildly. I think you may be finding that out. Good luck!

    They have you in the position that they are short drivers . Why would they rush to put you in a road position they can fill easily??

    They do not want to lose a local driver. They have no interest in seeing your pay check increase because you went to the road.
    Did you by any chance see the email from corporate that said they do not want you contacting them about going to the road? It sound like they made that up so that you would stop contacting them.
    Did you sign any kind of contract saying that you would work for them for a minimum amount of time in exchange for training you to get your CDL?

    Yes. Bizarre but true.

    Nope. Smartest move in my budding trucking career so far, I think.

    The owners of the agent company actually seem pretty eager to get me OTR... I think in their view it just means more hats I can fill. They'd still be able to dispatch me on locals if needed. Their owner ops are all aging and household is definitely a young man's game.

    Management and corporate seem to be causing the hold-up, which makes me suspect this is more an issue of competence and communication.

    Doing a wee bit of research at the Company website revealed NO INFORMATION about their Transfer Equipment, which seems odd.
    Lots of Info about their People, Awards, etc.
