I went through the program with swift. The pay is on the shallow end of the pool. I don't think their pay during school will cover your bills. I dont remember exactly how much it was but basicly it covered my food and some basic necessities. At the time their program worked for me as I basicly live out of the truck and my girlfriend back home was working an office job then. Look around and see if you can find a better deal.

I have a 2013 Chev Impala Lt. Payments 325.00 per mo. Will probably be heading for Springfield,Mo around May 12. Just not sure what to do with the car. Sale it, store it. Will be on the road a lot. Very little home time needed these days it's just me. Anyone else in that situation.

Before and during my trucking career....mortgage ( paid off in 15 years) vehicles , kid's , college etc..... But , now I'm retired ..no debt...wife is still working though. Only bills are food , power , gas , garbage pick-up (live out in the country) , then lease payments on a couple of hunting properties. Life is good!

Work visa extended , then 2 year green card, 10 year green card, and finally a naturalisation certificate ( residency) - which is like being a citizen . . . except if your opinion differs from another fellow countrymen . . .

Then they tell you to shut up and go back where you came from if its so wonderful.

I'm only 20K in debt. 10k to my pickup truck note and 10k on my girlfriends car. No rent or mortgage. Just property takes.

Sell it and save yourself the car payment, insurance and storage fees. Rent a car when you get your 2-3 days home time if needed.

Buy a cheap used motorcycle or motorscooter.
