    Nah, more like...

    and

You don't see, "My recruiter said..." or, "I was told..." for a reason - OP didn't bother asking. Instead, he's SHOCKED that he didn't get Towncar service from the airport with a complimentary wet bar, a pack of cub scouts and a bucket of warm peanut oil; makes disparaging remarks about his new employer on a public forum then announces he wants to book his own flight back to Mexico's Gay District and find a new job instead of driving his truck back. The entitlement is strong in this one, probably a native.

I'm loling right now... I have driven a daycab cross country more than once because that's what it took to get the loads done. A local tanker job, without previous experience, is hard to come by. Don't waste the opportunity. You are a driver, they want you to drive (lucky you it's your assigned equipment, not some spare that hasn't been cleaned in generations).

You may not survive. It doesn’t sounds like they did you ok. If you quit that will haunt you.

Give them and yourself the benefit of a doubt. Biggest mistake new Drivers make is Job Hopping. Only to find there’s problems at any Company. We all want to think positive and believe what others tell Us. When dealing with Recruiters, it can lead to a lot of misery. Slow down, might be the best Job you’ll find right now. Get used to other Drivers telling you what a much better job they have than you do. Nature of the Beast. All that matters is wether or not the Job works well for you and your family. Total pay vs. Total time invested away from home. No matter how it’s packaged.

Thanks yeah I decided to stick it out and take the day cab back to California. I stopped at the first hotel that they booked for me, but no one was at the desk and I had just run out of 14 hr D.O.T hours. So they booked me another hotel near by but I was forced to violate my 14hr on duty rule by 5 minutes. Anyone knows what happens when you violate the 14 hour rule?

You’re new and I’m pretty sure you’re not going to jail

Most all companies as mentioned deal with this all the time and can instruct you on the work around for it
Just need to be proactive and make sure you have a contact number of someone you can call to get the plan before you run out of hours
